@foundoutthat there is no proven track record, the only reason police use them is to gain publicity for cases, if police in the uk used psychics theyd lose their jobs.

@SamUKest89 im not religious im agnostic. This clairvoyant i went to see was from the other end of the country i lived at id never seen him before, i never said a word to him apart from a nod of the head (iv watched derren brown so i tried not to give anything away) the room was pretty dark and he sat 3-4m away i went in a sceptic and came out shocked and a beleiver, more so my partner who is the biggest skeptic walking beleives. i know alot are conmen/women but not all of them. : )

@1lilleth im guessing you wanted to connect though to things he said, which makes his job a lot easier. plus for him to speak to the dead, you therefore believe there is an afterlife? which religion is this, as christianity is false, sexist, and an awful thing to consider in general, im hoping all this clairvoyancy isnt true!

@SamUKest89 seen derren brown-dawkins cold reading, iv seen derren brown live i know all about cold reading. psychics are different to clairvoyants psychics know your future clairvoyents/mediums speak to the dead. clairvoyants especially the ones who have all four abilitys are not psychics. iv seen an excellent clairvoyant a number of times hes not expensive and id never met him in my life and he got too many things right names dates places it was unreal! i a beleiver my choice.

you dont actually think that they refuse to go on for that reason though do you? if a hundred people told you they could fly, you would ask them to prove it. if they said no, you wouldnt believe them. this is the same, however you choose to believe because you want to :) you just have to realise it! they could give the money to charity, prove its real etc but unfortunatley for them cant. watch 'derren brown- dawkins cold reading' it will show you 'psycic' abilities in a different light :)

@SamUKest89 maybe they dnt want to go on james randi's million dollar challenge had you thought of that? they might feel that they dnt need to prove anything to james or any1 else for that matter just because certian psychics havnt went on doesnt mean they havn't got a wonderful gift. yes i know there are frauds but when you have been to see a really good psychic and he has told you information that he should not and could not of known ( and he doesnt know you from adam) then i gotta beleive!

@foundoutthat theres not a proven track record... but il tell you what, if they can find the dead... why cant any of them win james randis 'million dollar challenge'... in which he prepares to give away a million dollars to anyone who proves psychic abilities? i mean if someone can run 100 m in 10 secs... they will prove it, if anyone can hold their breat for a minute they can prove it, because its possible. noone has ever proved being psychic other than pot luck
