Psychic Detective for Playstation. Cut, edited, and compiled into sequences. Tag along with Eric Fox on his misadventure's into the subliminal psyches of San Francisco's underground cult society. Released after much of the FMV hype had died down, Psychic Detective was one of the last big budget live action games, and ironically one of the best, most complicated, and most replayable. This game has a reminiscent quality of Dark Passage with Humphrey Bogart in that most of the encounters are subjective to the viewer.As far as FMV is concerned, it has very non-linear gameplay, 15 endings, excellent acting (for video games), remarkable continuity, cinematography, camera work, and over a hundred different scenarios to choose from throughout the game. Please excuse an occasional glitch or skip and some scenes are intentionally out of sync on my part to show perspective. The other scenes are identical but acted out several times depending on the character and natural timing is off. The quality ( being 1995 ) is relative to VCD but amongst the best for Playstation. I chose the PSX version despite it being censored for the ease of use, bookmarking ability, and an MDEC plugin to improve quality. The 3DO version has choppy sound and DOS is a pain with no enhancement. I did leave out the sex scene between Jeanine and Bobby which is present in the DOS/3DO versions, but there was no nudity and not very graphic so you really didn't miss much. If you want to see the other 14 endings...play the game! You can almost always find something different, I still do.Apparently a movie was made from this footage, but I couldn't find it so I made my own. I remember playing this game on Sega CD. I could never figure out how to beat it, though!!! Is that possible??

Well if you got the original game and the full-size ps3 you can (the ps3 slim isnt retro-compatible)

This game was really cool when it came out..I loved how you could go into someone head and see what they were doing. Really innovative game and at the time was a lot of fun to play.

this is the game its like your controling a movie its intense this is only the 2nd game out of all the ps1 games that was like this i only rented this along time ago i wish i had more time to play it now its hard to find i know where to get it for ps1 but i have ps3 i don't know if this games to old to play on it or not do you know?

really strange game, ive never seen any other game like it, on the playstation anyway, kinda rare too, i was watching the movie ALIVE the other day and saw that Eric Fox was in it, im like wtf?

By today's standards the game kinda sucks. Live action video never took off and the mind jumping and story pacing can be disorienting to the plot. But that said, I played through this 14 times for all 14 endings. If you're an adventure gamer there is a lot to love about Psychic Detective.
